So this week over at ala card monkey, the challenge is kid-related. Here's this week's sketch:
It took me a while to come up with an idea, but I started by looking for some background paper that looked "kid-like". Once I saw this paper, it struck me that kids (and adults too) like balloons. So here's what I came up with:
I colored in the balloons and the "Happy Birthday" greeting with markers, Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango were the colors that I used. I stamped the images with Soft Suede. I sponged around the circle and the label with Wild Wasabi. Instead of a bow, I let the "strings" from the balloons hang down. I think it would work for kids of all ages.
